Camp Hope 2026 - New Adult Volunteers

Adult Volunteer (18+ at time of Camp Hope) If you are a new volunteer, if the last time you served at Camp Hope was more than one year ago, or if your personal information has changed since last year, please use this form to register. Thank you for your interest in volunteering at Camp Hope! We are very grateful. One of main elements that makes Camp Hope such a special week is the presence of Christ filled volunteers to love and serve our campers throughout the week. In years past many parents, siblings, friends, and neighbors have volunteered to serve in every area of camp and the result is the same – they leave feeling like they received more than they gave! There is something about emptying ourselves in loving service towards others that allows Christ to then fill us up and meet our every need. Volunteers of the past have taken time off work, made arrangements for younger children and travelled great distances in response to the Lord’s invitation to serve at Camp. Will you answer that call? The process to apply as a volunteer is as follows: • Complete online volunteer application • Wait to be contacted regarding volunteer confirmation. • If accepted as a volunteer, follow the instructions emailed to you. Volunteers 18+ need to complete additional steps to serve at Camp Hope. Those requirements can be found HERE (https://docs.google.com/document/d/1iTb1x99kkmPN1uIwtYP9Jkue3UntbBePSTEP-QooTfQ/edit?usp=sharing) Note that due to space limitations and specific role needs, not all volunteers applying will be able to serve at Camp Hope. Application submission does not ensure acceptance as a volunteer. Adult volunteers 18+ are eligible to serve in the following areas: • Kitchen Crew • In Cabin Support • Nursing (valid license required) • Service Crew • Admin & Prep Work • To note again, accepted and confirmed adult volunteers will need to complete the additional steps found HERE (https://docs.google.com/document/d/1iTb1x99kkmPN1uIwtYP9Jkue3UntbBePSTEP-QooTfQ/edit?usp=sharing)

Statement of Expectations

As a Staff Member for Camp Hope, I understand that it is my responsibility to fulfill my commitment to serve while relying upon God's grace and empowerment. Meaningful and positive interaction with campers will be my main priority! Both fellow staff members and campers will be observing my conduct and therefore it is important to be a positive, Christian role model at all times. With this in mind, I realize that I am expected to: • Perform my assigned responsibilities to the best of my ability. • Support campers in their relationship with Jesus. • Seek and respect adult direction and supervision whenever necessary. (This is expected of everyone who is involved with camp!) • Encourage healthy interactions and discussions (no negative humor, swearing, gossip, etc.), thus providing opportunities for appropriate fun and fellowship. • Model proper behavior/speech that is beneficial to the entire camp experience and follow the clothing guidelines set forth in the dress code • Will not use alcohol, tobacco or any other mind-altering substance • Be punctual for all scheduled assignments, arriving at a particular location prior to the requested time. • I will adhere to the camp curfews set forth for me at camp. • I will refrain from using cell phones, iPods, electronic devices, etc., at camp. (as is expected of the campers.) By signing below, I certify that: • All the information in this application is true to the best of my knowledge. • I understand that Camp Hope staff will assign a role for me that they consider to be most helpful to the camp mission. • I agree to abide by all Camp Hope policies and guidelines. I also understand that choosing not to follow these policies and conduct guidelines during camp could result in my dismissal (Parents would be responsible for transportation.) I realize that it is the responsibility of the Camp Hope Directors to make this type of decision and that I would be responsible for supporting such a decision. • Camp Hope is indeed a priority in my summer schedule and that I must confirm with any summer employer my personal availability for this position at the beginning of my employment.
